Student Conference : The Impact of Climate Change is Getting More Real, Are We Aware?

Geophysics and Meteorology (GFM) IPB University 2018 college students collaborated with the Agrometeorology Student Association (Himagreto) IPB University and PIAREA held a student conference to deal with climate change time ago. This conference carries the theme “The Impact of Climate Change is Getting More Real, Are We Aware?”. This conference explains the losses and damages caused by climate change. There were more than 130 participants who attended various universities and institutes throughout Indonesia. Such as the Indonesian Meteorological Association (Perhimpi), SEAMEO Biotrop, Center for Research and Development of Quality and Environmental Laboratory (P3KLL), and others. This conference contains presentations of works in various forms for all groups from children to adults. The work is the result of various groups, namely SLIPI (About Environment and Climate Change), CAKAP (Stories of Adaptation of Reliable Agricultural Communities), SARIPATI (About Agricultural Climate Risks and Adaptation Technology), CATET (Chatter of Adaptation About Renewable Energy), RESAPI (Series of Stories About Climate Change Adaptation), KLIK (Climate Environment and Health News) and CERDIK (Climate Impact Risk Stories and Resilience). This activity is designed to develop student's soft skills in the application of their fields of knowledge through creative media. In addition, this activity is also designed to train coordination and communication between IPB University students with outside students and the wider community in the hope that it can be enjoyed and useful.
